
Karamana Ashraf Moulavi inaugurates public conference organised as part of conclusion of Road to Campus Rally
Hundreds of people especially students participated in the rally organised as part of valedictory function.
The rally and public conference followed it was marked by the discipline of participants and organising skills of student leaders.
The grand public conference held at Gandhi Park, Kizhakke Kotta here, was inaugurated by Karamana Ashraf Moulavi. state president, Popular Front of India. He urged the student community to come forward to fight against the injustice and discrimination meted out to the marginalised sections of the society. Campus Front comprised of students from different walks of society cutting across the religions and casts. The people who fought for the freedom of our country have been denied their rights to enjoy it, he added.
Noted social activist and president of Anti Coca Cola committee, Tamilnadu Advocate Thankaswamy was the chief guest on the occasion. He opined that the Sangh Parivar forces were trying to destroy the country and its people. And RSS which was accused of anti national activities including Mecca Masjid, Samjoutha and Pune blasts was trying to label Muslims as terrorists.
The drama 'Konnittum Marikkathavar' was the main attraction of the rally. It was a direct attack against apolitical inclination of today's campuses. The drama written by Sajid Alappuzha and directed by Ashraf Aluva is also a war declaration against managements who are dead bent only on the financial gains.
The public conference was presided over by Campus Front of India state president Ajmal Ismail, and national general secretary Aneezul Rahman delivered keynote address.
SDPI state general secretary M K Manoj Kumar, Campus state general secretary C A Raoof, secretary A Nahas, Karnatak state general secretary Muhammed Skahir also spke.
The rally was inaugurated by VT Iqramul Haq on 3rd of this month. State general secretary, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) handed over the flag to CA Rauf, state general secretary of Campus Front.
