Kasargode: The state level rally organized by the Campus Front in Kerala began yesterday at Hosankadi in the northernmost Kasargode district. The rally was inaugurated by VT Iqramul Haq, state secretary of the SDPI, who handed over the flag to CA Rauf, state general secretary of the Campus Front. The rally plans to travel all over the state raising the slogan ‘Today's classroom tomorrow's nation'.
CA Rauf presided over the inaugural function. PFI Kasargode district president CT Sulaiman Master, Campus Front Karnataka state coordinator Naser, SDPI Mancheswaram area secretary Hameed, rally coordinator K Shameer and P Rafeeq spoke.
The rally was received at the Vidyanagar Govt College, Kanhangad Nehru College, Neeleswaram and Padanna before it reached Thrikkarippur in the evening. It is travelling in the Kannur district today.
Earlier the Campus Front office-bearers had said in a press conference that the rally would uphold the message of the need for an alternative politics. The rally will cover around 200 places in the state before concluding it at Thiruvananthapuram on January 25 by a public meeting.
